English Literature & Church History

Pursuing truth through the long corridors of history, scripture, and the faithful dissent of those who held the ancient faith before the councils claimed it.

Larry Nathaniel Chadwick Warner

Earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts — with a concentration in English Literature and Criminal Justice — from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in 2015, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Named Outstanding Transfer Student of the Year at the University of Tampa (UTampa) in 2025.

A working professional with over two decades of private security experience spanning armed, supervisory, and law enforcement authority roles in the state of Florida. Currently serving as a Campus Safety Officer (Armed) at the University of Tampa, holding statewide firearms licensure, CCW, and TWIC credentials, as well as a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

His intellectual life is occupied chiefly by two great currents: English Literature in its full historical sweep — from the Old English alliterative tradition through the Middle English prophetic mode — and Church History, pursued with particular attention to the dissident tradition, from the Donatist schism through the Radical Reformation and the Anabaptist witness.

Areas of Scholarship

English Literature

From the alliterative verse of the Old English tradition through Chaucer, Langland, and the late-medieval prophetic mode, the literary history of the English-speaking world has been a lifelong companion. Chadwick is an original poet with an authentic command of Middle English prosody — a rare discipline recovered not from the academy but from love of the forms themselves.

His literary work engages the great questions of language, prophecy, and cultural memory — how a civilization encodes and loses its identity through the words it chooses to speak or forsake.

"Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote…" — Geoffrey Chaucer, Canterbury Tales
"The Church has always existed. She did not begin with Rome, nor did she end when Rome departed from her. The trail of blood leads through Carthage, through the Alps, through the Low Countries — and it is a trail of faithful witness." — L. N. Chadwick Warner

Church History

Particular scholarly attention is given to the dissident and non-conformist tradition in Western Christianity — the Donatist schism, the Waldensian witness, the Anabaptist movement, and the question of ecclesial continuity outside the structures of Rome and Constantinople.

Current research includes a multi-chapter argument for a Donatist-to-Anabaptist succession corridor in "The Church Before the Council," and an interactive primary-source archive of dissident Christian literature.
